Hey, Pilgrims!
Great news! After a short Twitter poll we ran, we are happy to announce the development of a brand new, short form podcast!
While recording Episode 7 of the Wanderer’s Rest Podcast (coming soon to our Patrons and then the general public!) we discussed a possible idea for an actual play podcast.
The show, “Till Death Save Do Us Part”, is a new idea where I (Mike) will DM a shorter campaign for my lovely wife, Katie. The idea of this podcast, aside from another excuse to spend time with my wife, is to come out with an entertaining actual play but also one that didn’t require setting aside a handful of hours to listen to.
The episodes as of now are going to be designed to be roughly 30 minutes to an hour at maximum. With these shorter episodes, it will (hopefully) allow our listeners to keep up to date on episodes without having them worry about trying to catch up if they missed an episode.
With the average run time of a prime time show on TV or your favorite streaming service clocking in around 45 minutes, we are hoping to keep our episodes both entertaining and fulfilling, but also able to keep the attention of an audience with busy schedules!
As of now, we will mostly likely be recording our session 0 soon where Katie and I will discuss what we expect from the campaign as well as building her character. Afterwards, episodes will be released once every two weeks at first, with episodes coming at shorter intervals depending on our feedback. As with our Wanderer’s Rest podcast, episodes will be available to our Patrons before the general public, so be sure to support us on Patreon for early access to all these incredible new updates and projects!
